Royce M Becker

The in-house artist and designer for Sagging Meniscus press passed away last week. I am certainly not qualified to offer an in-depth tribute to her. I never met her (she very sensibly maintained something of a firewall between herself and the authors whose books she made so beautiful) but I know, and would like to say, the following—she was absolutely integral, indispensable, to the Sagging Meniscus project; she made a lot of authors very happy by far exceeding their expectations; the cover she designed for my own book has been instrumental in attracting the attention of editors and readers the world over; I owe her.

I am extremely grateful, and very lucky, to have been involved with her professionally in my own small way, and I wish strength to her loved ones, who must be missing her terribly.
